The criminal case involving Doreen Dyer, the 44-year-old mother - who was recorded beating her daughter with a machete in a video widely circulated on social media -  was postponed until November 15th when she answered to the child cruelty charge in the St Thomas Parish Court in Morant Bay today. 
Dyer was charged last week with cruelty to a child.
"The lawyer asked for more time to prepare for the case which was put off until November 15th. In the meantime, I am going to seek a job so that I can gwaan take care of my family, ah five of them mi a struggle with, and mi a do mi best to continue to take care of them," she told one876 EDITOR Claude Mills this evening.
