Dancehall recording artiste Delly Ranx has joined a growing list of artistes who have decided to do reggae albums given the stasis in contemporary dancehall right now.

He is set to drop his latest album 'The Next Chapter' on July 10, 2012.

The artiste, who has already released three other albums, believes that reggae has a currency and appeal that is timeless, and allows him to bridge that generational gap between the young listeners who love all genres of music and ageing dancehall lovers seeking different musical palettes.

"It was worthwhile for me to release a reggae album to bridge the gap between the younger folks and the elders so that people can appreciate reggae again," Delly Ranx said in a release.

Delly Ranx has been working on the album for the last three years and will release it under his Pure Music Productions label. The Next Chapter is a beautiful full-length studio album, will be released this month, and it’s a charming example of deeply mature songwriting and is buffered with warm guitars, groovy basslines and keyboards. The album also features a charming mix of collaborations with veterans in the music business, as well as rookie artistes just carving out a name for themselves.

"I collaborated with Bunny Rugs from Third World on a song called Life After Lifetime. I also have a collab with Buju Banton called Thunder Roll. My youngest daughter Gabrielle Foster also collaborated with me on a song called Baby Cry and I did a song called One a Way Soldier (remix) with an artiste called Chali2na," Delly Ranx said.

Other dancehall artistes who have changed the thrust of their music from hardcore dancehall to reggae include Mr. Vegas, Cobra, Busy Signal and of course, the legends Capleton and Buju Banton.

In the meantime, Delly Ranx is in New York promoting the album ahead of its worldwide release date.

"The Next Chapter will be available worldwide digitally, while fans who are interested in obtaining a hard copy of the album can log on towww.dellyranx.com to place orders," he said.
