Bermudian singjay Magma delivered a marquis performance at the Negril Spring Break show over the weekend at Long Bay Beach in Negril.

Working in front of an audience of almost 1000 patrons, he was called on to the stage by veteran deejay Danny English, and immediately sparked the crowd with a ganja tune, 'Sipping on a Sip' delivered in his enigmatic high energy style. He was forced to pull up the song and delivered it again to loud cheers from the audience.

He followed that up with 'Toppa Toppa' which also elicited loud cheers from the audience, intrigued by his witty rhymes.

"The show was really good, I got a great response, me and Danny English get some of the biggest forwards fi the night, trust me it gwaan good king, I am well pleased with how the audience ah respond to the ting," Magma, whose real name is Adam Mayo, said.

Veteran dancehall deejay Danny English was also in fine form, sparking the crowd with his smash hit single, 'Meet Me at the Party', and his ever-popualr 'If Yu Man a Gi Yu Bun'. Other artistes who performed include Fantan Mojah, Singa J, and Sizzla/.

As the first quarter of the year ends, Magma will be releasing two videos in the next couple of weeks.

"One of the videos is for a song called 'Musicmaker', a combination with Cederic Myton from the Congos and a video called 'Lions Don't Fear' which has a scene with Dean Fraser in it. 'Lions Don't Fear' is a rasta warrior song that is getting some buzz out there," he said.

Over the past month, Magma has been burning up the airwaves with a pair of new singles, 'Love Life' and a remake of the Half Pint classic, 'Level Di Vibes' featuring new vocals by reggae legend Half Pint, the latter of which was officially released mid-February via iTunes and other downloadable music platforms on his own Moltenrock Productions label.

Last year, Magma scored well with a radio hit, a cover of Paul Simon’s 'Diamonds On The Soles of Her Shoes'. Magma himself co-produced the single with Kevon Brown and Donovan Joseph for his Moltenrock Productions. The song was distributed by Tad's International. Since settling in Jamaica over 10 years ago, Magma has released a number of songs for various producers. His sole album, The Mission, was released in 2015 but now he is getting ready to drop a new EP.

"I have been recording a number of songs, and doing a lot of writing with my friend Danny English for my own label, Moulten Rock Productions, and I will be dropping an EP within the next two months, I am doing the mixing and mastering," he said.
